MY STORY
A Lifelong Passion for Art and Teaching
My journey with art began many years ago, and over time it became not just a passion but calling — to share the joy of creating with others. I developed and refined a structured teaching method over many years of working with students in France, helping complete beginners discover their artistic potential.
The method I teach is progressive and personal. Every student begins with the foundations — learning to see, to observe, and to draw with confidence. From there, each person advances at their own pace through a beautiful range of media: Pencil, coloured pencil, dry pastel, oil painting and watercolour.
I brought this method to Aberdeen because I believe everyone has an artist within them — they simply need the right guidance, the right environment, and the confidence to begin
THE VIVID METHOD
A Structured Path to Artistic Confidence
Most art classes give you a subject and leave you to it. The Vivid method is different. It is a carefully structured, progressive approach — the same method taught successfully in France for many years — designed to build real, lasting skills in a logical order.
Step 1 — Drawing Foundations
Every student begins here. Proportion, line, observation and form. The bedrock of everything that follows.
Step 2 — Pencil
Working in black pencil to master shading, volume, perspective and depth. Learning to see light and shadow before introducing colour.
Step 3 — Coloured Pencil & Pastel
Introducing colour and texture. Building confidence with increasingly expressive media.
Step 4 — Acrylic & Oil Painting
Working with paint for the first time. Colour mixing, layering and composition.
Step 5 — Watercolour
The most expressive and challenging medium. Reserved for students ready to paint with real depth.
